Product overview
What is VitalOS?
VitalOS is an iOS wellness beta for people who use Apple Watch and Apple Health. It turns health and activity signals into explainable daily scores with confidence labels and score receipts.
What It Helps You Understand
VitalOS focuses on the questions people ask every morning: did I recover well, was my sleep good enough, how heavy is today's load, and how much should I trust the score?
How To Use It
- Install the VitalOS beta build on iPhone.
- Open VitalOS and grant only the Apple Health permissions you want to share.
- Let the app sync recent HealthKit samples from the device.
- Review Recovery, Sleep Quality, Daily Load, and Confidence.
- Open the score receipt to see which signals changed the score.
- Compare unusual values against Apple Health before acting on them.
Advantages
- Local-first MVP: the current beta does not automatically send HealthKit data to a backend.
- Score receipts: scores include supporting signals and missing-data notes.
- Confidence labels: incomplete data should reduce certainty instead of pretending precision.
- Personal baselines: scores compare signals against your own recent history when enough data exists.
- No ads in the MVP: HealthKit data is not used for advertising, resale, or ad-related mining.
- Plain-language caveats: VitalOS states when it is unsure and when a score is only a wellness estimate.
Why VitalOS
Apple Health stores powerful signals, but users often see them as separate charts. VitalOS is built around explainability: one daily view, transparent scoring, and clear confidence when sleep, HRV, heart rate, movement, oxygen, or workout data is missing.
Beta Boundaries
- VitalOS is for general wellness and fitness insight, not medical advice.
- Scores can be wrong when wearable data is inaccurate, delayed, incomplete, or affected by travel, illness, alcohol, stress, or unusual routines.
- The current beta is iOS-first and HealthKit-first.
- Direct Garmin, WHOOP, Oura, Fitbit, Samsung Health, Android Health Connect, cloud sync, accounts, subscriptions, and AI coaching are not included in the current MVP unless a later build says otherwise.
